» Welcome to Squidgy Banana Bike ClubWelcome to the Squidgy Banana Motorbike Club
We are an Essex based group of likeminded bikers who not only enjoy riding our bikes but also enjoy the social aspects of riding motorcycles with regular club meets on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings for breakfast at Truckstop 2010 (CafeDiner) in Basildon from 9am onwards. Breakfast is normally followed by a planned rideout so be sure to check the rideout diary however there will always be someone there to meet you.

BMF - British Motorcyclists Federation Being a BMF affiliated club, when you become a full club member you will have access to all the many discounts offered by many product suppliers, insurance companies etc to BMF members. Rideout Diary The club has regular rides planned for this year including both long and short distance rides to suit a variety of riding styles. For 2012 we have a pretty full rideout diary including both local and long distance routes taking in some nice twisty roads and country scenery. Our rideouts are always tailored to suit all riding styles as although the majority of our members ride sports/sports-tourers there are several members with cruisers and some 125cc bikes so a fair few of the rides will always avoid motorways where possible, we use a drop-off/marker system for all rides so nobody will get lost or left behind. Typically we take part in many of the local charity rides and some further afield. We have a dedicated team in place organising rideout routes and venues that are always willing to take onboard any routes and venues recommended by our members. The only rules regarding our rideouts are that you are a safe rider and dont do anything that will have a negative impact on the reputation of our club such as popping wheelies etc and dont make any dangerous moves such as undertaking or cutting people up. Commonsense stuff really. For more information on our currently planned rideouts please check the Rideout Diary by Clicking Here Charity Events We regularly actively participate in charity events such as the Essex Air Ambulance, Help for Heroes and many others. Our charity event organising team carry out most of the planning for these types of events and have even completely organised events themselves such as the RAF Wings Appeal ride which was attended by several local bike clubs. Website There are extensive forums covering all aspects of motorcycling, technical help, members projects, general chit-chat and a photo gallery for members to share their bike pictures. You can view the forum with limited functionality as a guest, if you register you will get partial access to the forums (non-member chat) with a view to you becoming a full member which then gives you complete unrestricted access. This sounds great, how do I join up? Simply pop along to a few of the meets and see if you think you would like to be part of the club. If so just speak to our membership secretary to become a club member, the annual membership fee is currently £12. Our ideals and values A motorcycle club should meet the needs of and support its members and this is why the club is continually growing and moving from strength to strength, we work on the principle that the members are what makes the club a success and a good social environment, all members are welcomed to make suggestions for rideout ideas, shows and charity events. » Latest Club News
